Upcycled shoe collection

This is a collection of shoes made from upcycled materials, created for my shoe construction final at Parsons. All materials (except soles) are upcycled denim, scrap leather, or fabric that I already owned. Details are hand sewn, and all shoe patterning and construction was done over the course of the semester.

The Compost Heel is made from scrap leather and repurposed fabric, as well as wooden dowels, clay, and acrylic paint. The inspiration for this project came from my work with Earth Matter NY. The Earth Matter Vests were finished at the same time as this heel.

The Kitten Shoes are made from painted denim and leather, and repurposed fabric. The heel and toe details are hand sewn.

The Flower Power Slippers are made from scrap leather, the flower details are hand sewn.
